Zeina F. Salam

Managing Director & Co-Founder

Zeina F. Salam began her professional journey as co-founder of Concepts s.a.r.l in Lebanon, before establishing herself as the owner and ManagingDirector of Dar Iwan Landscape. With more than15 years of experience across private estates, public landscapes, hospitality, institutional, and governmental projects, Zeina specializes in sustainable landscapes and eco-management.A graduate of the American University of Beirut, she is an award-winning landscape designer recognized for her pioneering work in ecological and luxury landscapes. Her early achievements include the First Eco-Garden in the Middle East (Damascus, Swiss Embassy, 2004), the FAFS Courtyard atAUB (2003), and the Penrose Dormitory Garden Strip at AUB (2002). Most recently, she led Dar Iwan to be named Boutique Firm of the Year at theDesign Middle East Awards 2025 in Riyadh.

Abdallah Alkouatly

Chairman & Design Director, Co-Founder

Abdallah Alkouatly is a Saudi multi-disciplinary architect, artist, and photographer, and the co-founder of Dar Iwan Landscape, where he leads the design direction across all landscape projects. A graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and Pratt Institute in New York, Abdallah began his career under the mentorship of the renowned Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy, a pioneer of sustainable building techniques and architectural philosophy. With a career spanning residential and commercial developments, hospitality and resort projects, heritage rehabilitation, and project consulting, Abdallah brings a unique blend of creativity, cultural awareness, and ecological sensitivity to every project. His leadership has guided Dar Iwan to deliver landscapes of lasting impact, culminating in the firm being awarded Boutique Firm of the Year at the Design MiddleEast Awards 2025 in Riyadh.

Dr. Jala Makhzoumi

Advisor

Dr. Jala Makhzoumi is President of the InternationalFederation of Landscape Architects, Middle East and Professor of Landscape Architecture at the American University of Beirut. With a master’s in Environmental Design from Yale University and a PhD in Landscape Architecture from Sheffield University, she brings global academic and professional expertise. Her work spans post-war recovery, energy-efficient planning, heritage conservation, and sustainable urban greening, with consultancy roles on projects such as theDamascus 2030 Master Plan and the strategic development framework for Baghdad. As co-founder of the Lebanese Landscape Association and Senior Fellow at the Cambridge Center forLandscape and People, Dr. Makhzoumi is a leading voice in shaping resilient and inclusive landscapes across the region.

Dima Zogheib

Advisor

Dima Zogheib is a chartered landscape architect specializing in sustainable, resilient, and inclusive design. With experience ranging from large-scale landscapes to community initiatives, she advises clients and city governments on strategies for urban resilience and inclusive planning.Her notable work with Arup includes the Oman Botanic Garden, Tirana’s Orbital Forest, and resilience strategies for more than 25 cities worldwide in partnership with the Rockefeller Foundation’s Resilient Cities Network. In 2020, she received the Landscape Institute Award for Excellence in Place Regeneration for envisioning child-friendly cities in Belfast
